Is Maya Beach the same as Placencia Village?
Both are on the Placencia Peninsula, but Maya Beach is farther north and generally quieter. Placencia Village is at the southern end and has the largest concentration of shops, restaurants and tour departures.
How many nights should I stay?
Five to seven nights gives many travelers time for the beach, a reef day, an inland excursion and unplanned rest. Allow flexibility because sea and weather conditions can affect tours.
